GOLDEN, ORNATE, POMPOUS – this is how most of us imagine the Baroque era. We envision it as somewhat smaller and thus more tangible, heartwarming, and sensuous.

Baroque music discovered emotion as a goal of expression. It sought to musically convey the most diverse human affects – joy, love, anger, hate, sorrow, satisfaction – and to touch the hearts of the listeners.
