machernbaroque: Baroque Pure in the Baroque Hall of Kloster Machern
GOLDEN, ORNATE, POMPOUS – this is how most of us imagine the Baroque era. We envision it as somewhat smaller and thus more tangible, heartwarming, and sensuous.
Baroque music discovered emotion as a goal of expression. It sought to musically convey the most diverse human affects – joy, love, anger, hate, sorrow, satisfaction – and to touch the hearts of the listeners. Stefan Temmingh, recorder, Valer Sabadus, countertenor, and die lautten compagney berlin under the musical direction of their concertmaster Birgit Schnurpfeil aim to achieve exactly that with their concert – pure baroque! Participants: Stefan Temmingh - recorder, Valer Sabadus – countertenor, Birgit Schnurpfeil - concertmaster and musical direction
