Tour "The Golden Drops of the Romans"

On this delightful hike through the steep slopes of the world-famous "Piesporter Goldtröpfchen," you will discover where the Romans once pressed their noble drink for the gods.

Along the way, you will taste selected wines directly from the corresponding vineyards and dive deep into the history of viticulture during Roman times. The crowning conclusion is a visit to the Roman Press Facility from the 3rd century A.D. – a unique testament to ancient wine culture on the Moselle. Here, you will learn how the facility once operated and how the Romans lived and enjoyed life. In addition, the traditional Roman wine Mulsum and Moretum – a delicious fresh cheese based on an original Roman recipe – will be served.
