St Florian's Fountain in Kues

The St Florian's Fountain in the Kues district was erected to mark the construction of the new fire station.

The“Floriansbrunnen” in Kues is located on the premises of the volunteer fire brigade and is made of red sandstone from the Eifel. The well shaft depicts St Florian, patron saint in case of fire hazards and conflagrations, who died as martyr during the reign of Roman Emperor Diocletian.
