Grafen, Gold und Schwarzer Peter Ⅰ - Section Brauneberg/Filzen/Mülheim

The cultural trail "Counts, Gold and Black Peter" leads through the centuries of the county of Veldenz. Many exciting insights await you!

Discover and experience important testimonies and exciting stories of counts, citizens and the Black Peter, of territories and villages, of religious battles and wars, of life and work as well as of architecture and wine: this is the County Trail "Counts, Gold and Black Peter".Insights into the hiking tour:A possible starting point is Brauneberg. Here there is a special feature: not only in Pisa there is a leaning tower, also the tower of the Brauneberg church leans about one meter. The reason for this is that the tower was not built on rock, but on a slate plate with loose sand in the underground. The culture trail leads through the centuries of the county of Veldenz, situated between Trier and Bernkastel-Kues. Here on the Moselle, the county included the villages of Brauneberg, Mülheim, Andel, Veldenz, Burgen and Gornhausen. On the 47 km long circular routes, you can explore individually different sections with a variety of gastronomy as well as a wide range of activities and events for children and adults.
