Herrgott´s Wanderweg through the vineyards on the moselle

Circular walk on vineyard and forest paths. Round trip from the Moselle into the Hunsrück landscape.

In Wintrich, Großer Herrgott and Wintricher Ohligsbegr are among the best vineyards. This hike is named after the "Große Herrgott" - he watches over the Moselle bend at Wintrich and Piesport and reminds a little of the statue of Christ on the Sugar Loaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro.
Insights into the hiking tour:
The hike leads along vineyard paths up to the landmark of Wintrich, the aforementioned "Great Lord". From up here you have a wonderful view of the Moselle valley and the Wintrich barrage. There are also benches and chairs for resting at the vantage point. The rest of the route leads through the Rondelbach valley, where the daffodils bloom in spring. The highest point is reached at Kasholz and a former windmill. The tour ends in the beautiful wine village of Wintrich.
There are no stops along the way - but in Wintrich (inns and wineries).
